Oh hey there, we're Kristen and Peter. That fur ball is Ernie. The photo to the left was taken in the summer of 2013. We both had a day off and we went to the park. We look pretty pumped, right? Look at those smiles! It's because we don't get out much. Between our full-time jobs and all our hobbies we work A LOT. But we're among the lucky few who can honestly say that we love what we do. And we're never bored. So with the addition of our new row house we're pretty psyched to learn a few new tricks and tackle a couple sizable renovations.
We both build things (Peter restores motorcycles and I design home decor pieces) but this is the largest project we've ever taken on. It's incredibly special because we're building it together, but challenging because we're finally creating something for ourselves and that means we're going to want to go BIG on a very small budget. That said, we're ready for the adventure so join us as we undergo a row house renovation.
Also to note: this photo was taken right before the sun melted Pete's pale skin and we had to make a run for the car. Just kidding. We left because we started daydreaming about eating dinner. That right there should tell you all you need to know about us.

Want to learn more about my day job? Then check out www.kanibalhome.com --- it's a chicken and the egg situation. I'm not sure which obsession started first: did my love of old homes lead me to open up a decor shop or did the store lead me to finally renovate my own home? Who knows. Who cares. I'm having a great time doing both.
