But there are always those days where there isn't enough time or pieces of me to go around. Those are the days I go home and, instead of melting into the couch with Pete to unwind, I sit rigidly beside him with my eyes wide open wondering, "What could I have done better?"
And then I wake up the next morning and start over. And I remind myself of the following:
- It's okay to not always make everyone happy; sometimes people need to work hard to find happiness in themselves
- Find joy in each moment; it's called a labor of love because it's difficult, yet incredibly rewarding
- Choose to spend time with people who you love, who need love, and who support your loves
And, most importantly, take note of the above and the truth that "Great things happen when you work hard and are kind."
